Slack Configuration
Slack is the surface most teams use Quickly from. This page covers how the app is installed, what it can see, and how to control that.
Installing
Connecting Slack installs a workspace-wide bot, so it requires a workspace Admin or Owner. It is available on every plan.
- Open Settings > Integrations and choose the Channels tab.
- Click Connect Slack, pick the Slack workspace, and click Allow.

What Quickly Can See
Only the conversations it has been invited to. History scopes do not grant access to channels the bot is not a member of, so adding Quickly to one channel tells it nothing about the rest of your Slack workspace.
Inviting It to a Channel
Type /invite @Quickly in any channel. Private channels work the same way and follow the same rule: Quickly sees that channel and no others.
How Requests Work in Slack
Mention Quickly the way you would a colleague. Replying inside a thread matters, because Quickly reads the surrounding conversation rather than only the message that mentioned it, and that context is usually where the useful detail lives.
Approvals in Slack
When an action needs approval, Quickly posts a confirmation card in the conversation showing what it intends to do, the key fields, and why approval was required. Approve runs it, Reject cancels and offers to adjust, and no response within five minutes times the action out. What triggers approval is set by your autonomy mode; see Autonomy Controls and Safety.
Members Still Connect Their Own Tools
Installing Slack is a one-time workspace action, but it does not connect anything else. Each person still authorizes their own integrations under Settings > Integrations > Connectors, which is what keeps Quickly's reach equal to each individual's own access.
Removing or Reconnecting
Reconnect from Settings > Integrations > Channels if the token is revoked. Removing the app in Slack revokes the bot token immediately; your Quickly workspace, integrations, and action logs are unaffected.
