Quick Start Guide
Install Quickly and make your first request in 5 minutes
Quick Start Guide
This guide takes you from a new account to your first completed request. Budget about five minutes.
Before You Start
You need a work email address, and someone with permission to install apps in your Slack workspace if you plan to use Quickly from Slack. You do not need to install anything locally.
Step 1: Create Your Workspace
- Go to app.askquickly.ai and sign in with Google or Microsoft. Quickly uses your existing work account, so there is no separate password.
- Enter a name for your workspace, usually your company or team name.
- Click Create Workspace. The person who creates a workspace becomes its Owner.
A workspace is the container for everything else: integrations, playbooks, agents, action logs, and settings are all scoped to it.
Step 2: Connect a Tool
Quickly is only as useful as the systems it can reach, so connect one before you send a request.
- Open Settings > Integrations and stay on the Connectors tab.
- Find the tool you want, for example Jira, and click Connect.
- Sign in to that service and approve the permissions it asks for.
Connections are per person. Quickly acts with your access, so it can only reach the projects, spaces, and records you can already reach yourself.
Step 3: Send Your First Request
Open Chat in the dashboard and describe what you want in plain language:
Create a task in the DEMO project called "Trial run" and set the priority to Low
Quickly reads the request, picks the tools it needs, and reports what it did. New workspaces start in Conservative autonomy mode, so anything that writes data pauses for your approval first. Approve the action and Quickly completes it and links to the result.
Step 4: Check the Record
Open Action Logs. Every request Quickly handles appears here with the tools it called, whether each call succeeded, how long it took, and a link to whatever it created. This is the fastest way to understand what Quickly actually did rather than what it said it did.
Step 5: Add Slack (Optional)
If your team works in Slack, a workspace Admin can connect it under Settings > Integrations > Channels. Once connected, invite Quickly to a channel with /invite @Quickly and mention it the same way you would a teammate.
Where to Go Next
- Basic Commands covers the requests most teams use daily.
- Connecting Integrations lists every available integration and how OAuth works.
- Autonomy Controls and Safety explains how to decide what Quickly may do without asking.
- Understanding Playbooks shows how to turn a request you repeat into a saved, schedulable workflow.
