Using Chat

Ask Quickly for work directly from the dashboard

Using Chat

Chat is the fastest way to ask Quickly for something. It is where you land when you sign in, and it is the same agent you get from Slack: the same connected tools, the same context handling, and the same approval rules.

Who can use it: Owner, Admin, Manager, Member · Availability: All plans

What to Ask For

Describe the outcome rather than the mechanism. Quickly picks the tools it needs from the integrations you have connected, so naming an internal tool is unnecessary and usually counterproductive.

Pull the open High priority bugs in MOBILE and summarize them
Draft a reply to this email thread and save it as a draft
Read this contract and tell me what the termination terms are

A conversation keeps its context, so follow-ups work without repeating yourself. "Actually make that Highest priority" resolves against what you just discussed.

Files in a Conversation

You can upload a file and ask questions about it directly. This is the quickest way to get an answer out of a document without first adding it to a knowledge base, which is the better route only when the material is something the whole workspace will need repeatedly.

Approvals

When Quickly wants to take a write action and your workspace's autonomy mode requires a human first, the approval appears inline in the conversation with the action and its key fields. Nothing is sent until you approve it. See Autonomy Controls and Safety for what triggers that gate.

How to ask Quickly to complete a task

  1. Open Chat and describe the outcome you want.
  2. Name the tool, record, file, or system Quickly should use when you know it.
  3. Review the response and continue in the same thread if you need refinements.

How to upload a file and ask questions about it

  1. Click the file attach button and add the contract, spreadsheet, PDF, report, or other supported file.
  2. Ask a specific question such as "summarize the risks" or "extract the renewal terms".
  3. Ask follow-up questions in the same thread so Quickly keeps the file context.

How to ask Quickly to build an automation

  1. Describe the repeated process in plain language.
  2. Tell Quickly what should trigger it, what systems it should use, and where approvals are needed.
  3. Ask Quickly to create a playbook, agent, or workflow draft you can review.

How to approve a write action

  1. Read the pending action card before approving.
  2. Confirm the target system, record, and fields are correct.
  3. Click Approve to execute the action or Reject and tell Quickly what to change.

Good to Know

  • Write actions require confirmation when the tool risk policy marks them as sensitive.
